The distributed writing is hard, and the online distributed writing is NP-hard, to make it easy, the author assumes that:

1. Link utilizaions are stable

2. All blocks have the same size

In fact

1. Average link utilizaions are temporarily stable

2. Fixed-size large blocks write 93% of all blockes.
